Key outputs: 

2009 FANRPAN Food Security Policy Leadership Award

  • The 2009 FANRPAN Food Security Policy Leadership Award was given to His Excellency, Armando Emilio Guebuza, the President of the Republic of Mozambique. Accepting the award on behalf of the President, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mozambique, H.E. Madame Luísa Dias Diogo.

FANRPAN Civil Society Policy Movers and Shakers Award

  • The inaugural FANRPAN Civil Society Policy Movers and Shakers Award was presented to Celina Cossa, the founder and President of the General Union of Cooperatives of Maputo

A special feature to the 2009 dialogue was the active engagement with the media community. FANRPAN in partnership with the Inter Press Service (IPS) trained 20 journalists from member countries who prepared daily dispatches to their own countries
